REDWOOD VISCOMETER (HT-0101)

S P Tech Equipments made Redwood Viscometer is used for determining the viscosity of liquid, expressed in terms of time taken by the liquid to flow through specified hole made in a metallic cup at a specified temperature. The redwood apparatus measures viscosity in empirical units and not in absolute units such as Centistokes (CS). The redwood viscometer readings are converted to absolute units with the help of IP70 specifications, issued by the Institute of Petroleum, London. This method is primarily used for viscosity determination of liquids which flows in a Newtonian manner. Viscosity measurement with the help of redwood Viscometer is a very simple process and can be easily acclimatize. Also precision set of readings can be easily take

SEPARATING AND THROTTLING CALORIMETER (HT- 0056)

S P Tech Equipments made Separating and throttling calorimeter is designed to study the performance characteristics of separating and throttling calorimeter & evaluate quality of steam (Dryness fraction). The electrical boiler is used to generate steam which is fed to
the calorimeter. Separating calorimeter consists of two concentric chambers, the inner chamber and the outer chamber which communicates with each other through an opening at the top. Throttling calorimeter consists of chamber having a narrow throat, Steam leaving Separating calorimeter passes through the throat & enters the chamber. Thermocouples are provided to measure the temperatures at various points of the system.

PARALLEL AND COUNTER FLOW HEAT EXCHANGER (HT-04)

S P Tech Equipments made Parallel And Couter Flow Heat Exchanger consist of a heat exchanger mounted on a rigid MS structure frame with a control panel. A Centrifugal pump and a sump tank made up of non-corrosive PVC are placed at bottom. A separate hot water boiler is supplied with the equipment. It is fitted with a level switch, relief valve. Hot water from the boiler is fed into one end of the inner tube, which gets cools after passing through the length of the tube. Cold water is circulated through the boiler tubes with the help of centrifugal pump. Cold water will be circulated from tap water of lab will drained to lab-drainage line. Outer tube GI 1’’ dia. This is tube in tube system having inner tube of copper and outer of GI. The heat will be transfer effectively counter flow of both the water.

HEAT TRANSFER FROM A FIN APPARATUS (HT0018)

S P Tech Equipments made Heat Transfer From A Fin Apparatus is used at various places to provide heat-conducting surface to reduce the temperature of attached surface. The apparatus is designed to study the heat transfer in a pin type fin. The apparatus consists of Pin type fin fitted in duct on suction side of blower. Duct is provided with bell-mouth entrance. One end of fin is heated by a heater and heat flows to another end. Orifice is fitted on delivery side of blower to measure the airflow rate. Heat input and temperature distribution along the fin is measured on control panel.

NATURAL CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER TRAINER (HT-019)

S P Tech Equipments made Natural Convection Heat Transfer Trainer consist of a Stainless steel tube (Copper/MS) fitted vertically in a rectangular duct open at both the ends. The front side of the enclosure is provided with a acrylic sheet for visual display. An electrical heating element is kept inside the stainless steel tube to heat the system. The
