HYDRAULIC BENCH (FLM-001)
S P Tech Equipments made Hydraulic Bench is a self-sufficient unit to study the distribution and volumetric measurement of fluid (water). The system consists of an ample working space and several experimental modules that can be easily attached or mounted. Required accessories like pipes, fittings and valves are provided with each module. The bench is flexible enough to connect all experimental modules (FLM0002 TO FLM0009) easily & amp; run the experimental setup. The work area of the bench is provided such that it facilitates to attach various experimental units. Volumetric measurement tank is inbuilt in the non-corrosive FRP structure which is versatile for to conduct/mount different experimental attachments. The volumetric tanks discharge water into sump tank.
PIPE FRICTION APPARATUS (MAJOR LOSSES) (FLM-002)
S P Tech Equipments has designed the test rig for students to make comprehensive study of Centrifugal Pump Characteristics & performance along with power, discharge pressure head parameters. In this system a centrifugal pump is driven by a speed controlled (optional) electrical motor. Bourdon type Pressure gauge is used for measurement of head & tachometer (optional) is used for measurement of pump speed. LOSSES IN PIPES FITTINGS (MINOR LOSSES) (FLM003)
S P Tech Equipments module Losses In Pipe Fittings is a self-sufficient unit in the determination of losses encountered during liquid flow through pipes, which occur due to the presence of bends, valves and enlarged and diminished cross-sections. The system is mounted on a vertical panel provided with castor wheels. The panel mounts a large number of pipes and fittings. Tappings are provided across each pipe fitting to facilitate measurement of head loss. The Test set up of the Trainer can be used along with the Hydraulic Bench (FLM0001), if ordered as FLM0003SU.
BERNOULLI’S THEOREM (FLM 004)
S P Tech Equipments manufactured Bernoulli’s Theorem is self-sufficient unit to study the variation in pressure distribution across varying cross sections and hence verifies Bernoulli’s Theorem. The principle is studied by passing water through a convergent and divergent clear acrylic passage. Regulation of flow of water in the system is achieved by pipe set of different length in the Constant head tank. Static heads are clearly shown in the tubes of the manometer panel and the scale behind the tube directly measures the manometer reading. ORIFICE AND MOUTHPIECE APPARATUS (FLM006)
The trainer is self-sufficient unit to study the calibration & characteristics of orifice & mouthpieces. The calibration of these meters can be studied by comparing calculated flow with actual flow measured in measuring tank. The setup consists of sump tank, centrifugal pump, constant head tank & measuring tank. The orifice or mouthpiece can be interchanged & experiment can be performed. Flow & level of water in level tank can be adjusted so that number of readings can be taken. Arrangement has been provided for measurement of X-Y coordinates of trajectory. Test orifices of different diameters & mouthpieces of different shapes are supplied with the system.
CALIBRATION VENTURIMETER (FLM 008)
S P Tech Equipments manufactured Calibration Venturimeter is self-sufficient unit to study the characteristics of orifice meter and venturimeter. The calibration of these meters can be study by comparing with actual flow measured in measuring tank. The orifice & Venturi is made of clear acrylic material to understand its operation phenomenon. Venturimeter & Orifice meter is mounted in such fashion that at a time we can select one of them & conduct the experiment. An optional rotameter is placed in supply line of pump to operating table. Pressure tappings are provided at appropriate location for measurement of differential pressure with Mercury U tube manometer. Variable flow can be achieved for various reading set. For the particular flow we can compare the reading.
SET OF PRESSURE GAUGE MANOMETER BOARD AND CAVITATION EXPERIMENT (FLM-017)

FREE AND FORCED VORTICES (FLM-0010)
S P Tech Equipments Free and Forced Vortices is specially designed for easy visualization of free and forced vortices. It consists of two transparent concentric cylindrical vessels. The inner one is perforated. There is a discharge orifice in the center of the base. The water is delivered in the inner cylinder. Variable speed DC Motor rotates the two cylinders about the vertical axis. With the inner perforated cylinder in position and the discharge orifice open the apparatus produces a free vortex. For visualizing forced vortex, the perforated cylinder is removed and orifice is closed. A probe with vertical and horizontal traversing scales measure the surface profiles and the traversing Pitot head with manometer measure total head variation within a vortex.
